Sissie, I'm sending you all the healthy energy I can! We love you so much and are looking forward to hearing how the trial medications help you feel. Please let me know if you have a hankering for anything. Do you think a rum cake would be in order?

Sissie, you should see Casey today. She is interviewing for a job here at the University today and she looks confident, competent and beautiful. We can all be so proud of her and I hope she is proud of herself as well.

Hope you are resting well. Let me know about that rum cake . . .

Dallas & Winona & Jack, I found an Internal Medicine doctor that is taking patients and very good and will spend an unlimited amount of time with you if you need it. His name is Herberto Garza and he is with the Nix on Broadway. His phone number is 824-3130. He is a wonderful doctor and very caring. Hope this helps if you are still looking. Note: They said they did take Humana but I couldn't remember the specifics of yours but it sounds like they probably do.

Much love,

Suzanne

PS His nurse's name is Crystal.

Hi Suzanne. Thanks for taking the time from your busy schedule to look for me a doctor. . .At the moment the children seem satisfied with where I am at in regards to doctors, so for the moment I'll not do any more changing. . . Take care of yourself and those babies. . . .

Marykaye, Thanks for responding. . I have really missed participating in book club. . .. .This has not been my summer.. Yes, I actually read Violin while I was in California.. The imagery was unbelievable, in my opinion. I would have given it an 8, only because the plot was a bit too convoluted for me.
Take care, Dallas

Hi Dallas,

I wish you were feeling better. We all miss you at the library. Your ESL student, Javier hasn't come back since you left. I guess when you're taught by the best, no one else will do ;)
I'm glad you have such wonderful friends and family to support you in your time of great need.
You and Harold are in my thoughts and prayers.

God bless you.

Sissy, you know I'm on my knees and I feel we have been very close these many months. It's my turn now, and my weekends are free if
I can do anything at all, someone please let me know. You have been my coach and confidante, and so helpful-I loved our late night
calls. Heh, I'm up anytime for you.

Call me, let me come stay with you (weekends) if you need me. You were so right, everyday I gain more strength.
Lots of Love and best wishes.

Ann

It was so great to see you Dallas (and Nona) last Saturday. You're spirit and energy amaze me, gorgeous lady :) Hope the gerber daisies are still brightening your room and you're enjoying the ice cream. Sorry to have missed girls' night on Monday, but I hear it was much fun. Can't wait to see the pics! Hopefully, my work travel is over for a bit. See you soon! Mucho love, Sheri

Hi, Dallas.

Don't know if you will want to leave this message on the public blog or not, but I am responding to what you asked me when I saw you before you went to California.

You asked if Ed or I heard of any treatments, etc., to pass the info along to you.

I ran into an acquaintance yesterday who just started talking aoubt this Dr. Burzynski out of Houston who does research with "alternative" methods of cancer cure, even late stage. she told me the FDA and the AMA took him to court, but in his defense his attorneys called many, many recovered patients of his to testify, and he was acquitted and still in practice in Houston. She also told me that he had worked in conjunction with MD Anderson at times.

I looked him up this morning.
His websites: www.burzynskiclinic.com and www.burzynskiresearch.com

Also, many people report good results with Ambertose and Essiac. Essiac is herbal, and I know Ambertose is "natural," but I don't know as much about it except that friends have reported friends doing well with it. Essiac you can get at most health food stores. Ambertose, I believe, is part of Mannatech products, which I think is a personally marketed brand like MaryKay or Avon, etc.

Have Winona research this for you if you are interested.

I love you, my heart-sister!

Dallas,
So you read Violin, did you? The ratings ranged from 1-9; those of us who had previously read Anne Rice tended to like it; those who had never read her hated it.

Know that I'm thinking of you today and all this week as you undergo radiation. My heart is with you. I know you're looking forward to the Phase I clinical trial and I have good feelings about it. Let's just get the radiation over with!

Much love,
Marykaye
